The video was an edited version of a 2007 appearance by Trump at World Wrestling Entertainment’s WrestleMania 23 promotion in which Trump took out WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. The logo was in place of Mr. McMahon’s head. President Trump appointed McMahon’s wife Linda McMahon as head of Small Business Administration, a Cabinet-level agency. She has had experience for managing WWE for many years.

Donald Trump as a presidential candidate and commander-in-chief was known for his contempt for the media, citing it as the enemy of American people. The video has drawn criticism from CNN on social media. CNN stated that it was a sad day when President of the United States encourages violence against the reporters.

CNN added that the President was involved in juvenile behavior, which is far below the dignity of his office rather than to prepare for his overseas trip with Russia President Vladimir Putin, dealing with North Korea and working on the health care bill. President Trump will later this week visit Poland and Germany, where he is to meet a group of 20 leaders including the Russian President.

The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press condemned the tweet and considered as an act of glorifying physical violence against members of press.
