A Pakistani musician has recently been granted one of the highest distinction in the field of music. Our very own voice of the nation; Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has become the first South Asian artist to be honored by Oxford University as the institute has named a rehearsal hall after his name.
The hall is called ‘The Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Music Room’.
Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is the protégé of the late legend Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan; a name that needs no introduction or endorsement. He started following in his footsteps at a very tender age and transformed himself into the singing virtuoso that he is today.
It’s the highest degree of honor for not only Ustad RFAK, but for the whole country.
“It is a moment of pride for the nation and my moment of gratitude to the Almighty. I’m really humbled.” Ustad RFAK said.
