Dubai policeman that are commonly called as “Shurtay” drive the fastest car than any country’s police has ever had according to Guinness Book of World Records; Bugatti Veyron, that goes up to 253 mph.
Let alone the machines. They even rule the robots now.
Dubai has introduced the world to its first ever robotic police officer that is fully functional and capable of doing many simple tasks. It was unveiled during the Gulf Information Security and Expo conference on Sunday where it made an impressive debut by greeting people at the conference.
The revolutionary robotic officer isn’t just good at greeting and socializing but it is as smart as it gets. It rolls on wheels, salutes, bows, and can speak in multiple languages. It can also recognize hand gestures from up to 1.5 meters away. Civilians can even directly report a crime to the RoboCop using the tablet that has been fused into the robot’s chest.
This robot is a joint venture of Dubai police in collaboration with Google and IBM’s Watson. They aim to transform as much as 25% of all Dubai’s police force into robots by the year 2030, according to Director of Smart Services Department for the Dubai Police, Brigadier General Khalid Nasser Al Razouqi.
